used products review

I have never done this before and I don't follow many beauty blogs but the ones I do follow, I haven't seen this easy so I'm taking a bit of a risk but I am going to do a little reviews on products that I have recently used up. Each product will have a separate review saying what it is, what I thought of it and if I would use it again.

Simple 'Kind To Skin' Cleansing Facial Wipes
These facial wipes are available at any good drugstore or supermarket. I bought mine for £2.60 (I think) at Superdrug, I know it is quite expensive for a pack of 30 wipes but if your going to wear make up and want nice skin you need a good make up wipe and it is worth it. I like these because I have very awkward skin; I suffer from acne, I have an oily T zone but apart from that I have normal skin (apart from acne) so I am always looking for good products for my face. I am a fan of Simple because as they say in the name, they are simple and kind to my skin. I would recommend these but my tip is to remove eye make up first to prevent 'panda' eyes but I guess that is the same with any make up removal wipes.

This is 'Asia Straight Shampoo Hair Repair' by Schwarzkopf. I bought this because I have very curly hair but when I straighten my hair it never lasts so I am always looking for ways to keep my hair straight and when I saw this I thought it was sent from the angels... until I used this. When it said 'Asia Straight' I though great because when I was in Asia, the natives hair was always straight, despite the humidity- which made my hair a big frizzy mess, so I thought it might keep my hair straight to some extent (especially after I read the back) - that was not the case. I would not recommend this product because I didn't see any differences in my hair at all but that could just be my hair nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend it. I bought this product for about £3.50 which I thought was a bargain because I hate buying cheap skin and hair care products.

If you know me personally you will know I am a sucker for a tan! I was in Singapore for two weeks and I didn't tan and I have been on two cruises around the Mediterranean for two weeks each and I didn't tan - I just don't tan so I have to 'fake it till I make it'. I bought this Garnier Body 'Summer Body Moisturising Lotion Sun-Kissed Look' lotion at Boots for about £4.00 I think because I thought I would try a build up tan because usually I go straight in for a instant tan and I thought it was great that I was getting a tan and moisturising (killing two birds with one stone). I wouldn't recommend this because I am pretty confident that I was spreading it evenly, because I always do my own fake tan and have no problems, but suddenly (with the lotion) my legs and arms were going streaking - which isn't a good look; I certainly wouldn't recommend this to everyone.

This is not a sponsored post!

scallop shorts

I am a massive fan of Scallop shorts mainly because I think they are great to dress up or dress down. Below are some shorts that I have recently come across and rather liked.
These shorts are called 'Zollin Scallop Hem Shorts' from missguided, they currently retail for £19.99 and I absolutely love them. I think they are so fun because they are such a cool colour, I love block colours because like I said before they are really fun. I think these shorts are better to dress up rather than dress down, but that is just my opinion.

These shorts are called 'Scallop Waist Detail Shorts' from Miss Selfridge, they currently retail at   £17.00, reduced from £32.00. I love these because I feel as though they are kind of summery because of the light colour so I personally wouldn't wear them in this season, but that is just me so you may feel differently.

These shorts are called 'Boutique Lizzie Scalloped Hem Beaded Shorts' from Boohoo, they are currently retailing at £25.00. I think these shorts are beautiful but I wouldn't dress them down because I think they are just too 'jazzy' for everyday wear and I would wear them if I was going to a party or a meal, but that is just me.

kms freebies

I was in the hairdressers and while I was having my hair done I was telling the hairdresser about my blog and she said she would give me a sample of a new Shampoo and Conditioner they were trying out. I just want to tell you that this is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to review them because they are great.

The salon is sponsored by KMS California and that is the brand of the products.

About a week ago I tried these little samples and I have fell in love with them. Like I said before, they are great. The samples are fairly small but I still haven't finished them yet and I've used them both about 4 times; I also have a ridiculous tendency to use a stupid amount of product at a time.

These products left my hair feeling so smooth and smelt great, another one of my stupid tendencies is to smell things and I adored the smell of my hair. It left my hair with volume, thickness and a great texture.

I can't stand my hair being greasy and I have to condition my hair and this ColourVitality duo match my every needs.

If I ever see these products, I will certainly be purchasing them. I would recommend these products to everyone.

sunday portrait 1

This is a new thing that I'm going to do; each week I will post a photo of myself and tell you about my week, what things I've done, what I've bought, etc. So here goes week #1...

001. OK well I have been ill for the past week and today was no exception. I have such a sore throat, a really chesty cough and my whole body aches. The only thing that can possibly help this out is paracetamol and retail therapy. To be perfectly honest, I was expecting some sort of fatal illness (I'm exaggerate a lot, drama queen) when Halloween is approaching as it happens every year, is it some sort of sign that I'm not supposed to *celebrate* Halloween. Hopefully I will be better for Halloween because if not I am not prepared to go out in the cold for a couple of hours when I feel like I'm dying.

002. This week has been a good week for my bank account but a awful week for my make up bag and wardrobe. I have bought absolutely nothing apart from Vitamin Water and paracetamol, such fun.

003. The highlight of my week has got to be today, when I went down to the Newcastle Quayside Market; I absolutely loved going down when I was little. I went for a quick walk along the market (I did have to buy some vitamin water from the bus station to give myself some fuel) then walked into the main city centre for Starbaaaaks. There is nothing better than the Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate and Chocolate Chunk Cookie on a cold day. I wrapped up warm in my winter jumper, UGGs and Barbour. Every Saturday without fail practically, I go out and I can't believe I stayed in yesterday.

004. Despite everything this week has been pretty good because on Friday I broke up for half term, a week off school; which means not waking up at 7:00am and I get to spend my days shopping and blawging! Oh yeah and Hannah Pickup (@madeforpickup) followed and tweeted me on my personal twitter.
